Sals Sicilian Pizza in Gloucester

I really like this place. They have really good food at pretty good prices and the place is clean including the bathrooms. Once ordered the food took a little time to get there but the wait was worth it I definitely recommend this restaurant. This is not the first time I've eaten there nor will it be the last

They don't know how to treat there employees. They lift up the pizzas before they cook them to get it off the paddle they blow under the pizza

Waitress was great...the cook needs to take lessons from the previous owner...it was good but not great yet..I will go again

South has some of the best pizza in the area love coming here and trying different slices every time I come

Best pizza ......we drive past several pizza shops to patron Sals.

Perhaps I'm quite biased as my first job was as a Sal's cook all the way back in ~2002-2005, but I can still attest that their food, especially their pizzas, are as good as ever. My family's personal favorite will always be a large, freshly sliced Italian sausage, grilled onion, and green pepper pizza with a cup of extra sauce on the side for dipping. This decades-old, family run business has always been able to cater to just about any taste, so even if you're not in the mood for pasta or pizza, I always liked a toasted ham, mozzarella, lettuce, and tomato sub with oil and vinegar dressing.

This was hands down the best seafood stromboli and pickle pizza we've ever had. It was a little further away than we usually go, but it was completely worth it. Amanda was our server, and she was super friendly without being crowding, and she was able to answer our questions without having to consult the menu. 10/10, will definitely come back!

Food was great, I ordered Gnocchi! And as usual our waitress Brooke is awesome, we love her!

Had a Rowdy bunch 10 year old soccer players after the last game of the season for a pizza party. Was concerned we would disrupt others trying to enjoy a quiet meal. Not only were we there but another soccer team from a different division. Friendly staff handled all the chaos. Good food. Best Italian sub ever!

This place was affordable and very cozy!!! The wine and pizza were AMAZING!!! I've never had anything that tasted so good. They definitely buy fresh ingredients!!! Its the best pizza place I've been to in America!!! Guaranteed to have an experience you'll never receive at any other restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Only the fact that I ordered a steak and cheese sub with ltm & fried onions. No mushrooms. It was fine until I bit into it. And I am allergic. I had to take a allergy pill. I was visiting from Richmond, wo it was not convenient to just go backwards. I could not eat it and had to stop and atill get something to eat elsewhere. $10 wasted.

Food is always great but the waitress needs help. Keeps disappearing. A guy took our drink order, I ordered a hot tea. Did not get my hot tea until the end of my meal after telling 3 different people that work there. I think the waitress was working the whole restaurant, if that's the case you need to hire more waitresses.

Expected better from reading reviews. Didn't get what I ordered but waitress did offer to give me mine to go at no extra and keep what I was brought. Still pretty good pizza, wings were ok, garlic knots were simply garlic knots.

We just moved here a week and a half ago and have gotten food to go three times already. It's been great! The sandwiches have been delicious, especially the meatball. We liked the pizza too!

Pepperoni & sausage pizza was excellent & was served fairly quickly by friendly staff.

I don't get it? Pizza is rubbery. No texture at all to the crust and very little sauce. Cheese is very thick.. chew and chew and chew. Also got Manicotti, couldbt find ricotta, tons of can- tasting sauce and once again, chewy, rubbery cheese covered the tubes. I removed the thick layer of rubber to get to the pasta tubes and was surprised barely no ricotta in the shells? Side salad does not come with the manicotti? Years ago it was completely different. Was hoping it was a bad day about 6 months ago and returned this weekend. Same results. I wish the crust would have texture and hold up to the sauce and cheese. People love oily rubbery no crust pizza in that area i guess bc its always busy. Texture.. I say!

Been eating there for 25 + years and its always great... Family owned and very friendly wait staff... Love this place...
